I think he's talking about the vents, like for a radiator.....I seem to recall Jap spec ones being built like that. Or maybe MPi's since the rad is in the front, to give more airflow out from under the bonnet?

I'm not seeing what you guys are talking about.  Can you point me to it?  At what time stamp do you see vents in the RH inner wing?

It is in the still shot before you even start the video.

I think you're right that the pic is reversed, I see no mention of a right hand ventilated panel in any of the parts listings from either Spares or Someford.

Ah, thanks for explaining, I kept watching the video looking for a strange panel.  Yes, I think that is a reversed still photo. The shirt in the photo has lettering reversed too.

That was a good watch. Definitely makes me want to choose Heritage panels for my car.

Quick question though - is the front badge on this Mini stock or owner creativity? I haven't seen it before.

Isn't that a boot lid badge (script)?

30 minutes in a Mini is more therapeutic than 3 sessions at the shrink.

Yup. Absolutely.  It's a boot badge for a Mk I from about 1962 (when they started officially calling them "Minis" up to the intro of the Mk II in late 1967).

Interesting right-side inner wing panel!  I've never seen one like that before -
Maybe the photo is flipped. The writing looks backwards, but can't tell for sure.

4 man crew coming back from Bulgaria last night/today.  One guy filmed me landing in Baltimore apparently.

It was a little turbulent below 8000 today.

My receptionist  (office Dori) and I just watched you at work.  She said you have nice hands.   ;D

She said they look soft, I think she wants you to touch her.  Want me to ask?

You gotta post pics of Dori first.

Wicked cool!   4.gif

You look rather relaxed and quite casual.  Heck, it seemed you could have rolled down the window and had your arm resting on the sill.

Ever think of putting a piece of black tape over that pesky dashboard warning light?

I did open my window before leaving to reach out and clean bugs!

Classic coverage of racing in Australia in 1965.   Minis racing with Cortinas and Studebakers (!).

A true race of "stock" cars - street tires, no modifications, and no rollbars either!

I don't know what is more funny, the comment about Dan's hands or this!  LMAO!

I saw this exact car back in St Louis in the early 1980s - it was parked behind a repair shop.  I knew back then what it was (from Rob Goulding's "Mini" book) and that it was kinda rare, but who coulda guessed these Mini beach cars would be crazy money now?

The engine sure sounded good! Sounded very much like an F1 car of the era.....wonder if he's going to build a body for it?

It sounded epic.   I think a body will be challenge, but it looks like the builder could handle it.
