So what are the motor plans for Flur? Are you going to retain the SPI?

94touring

Fuel injection stays and all new parts for a tune up.  All new suspension ready to go on too.  From bearings to hi los.

At the paint store getting the extra needed.  Ouch this stuff gets more and more expensive every time I'm here.

Davisio

Coolness.

I look forward to seeing new pictures this evening.  20.gif

Blue on, new gun rocks.  Waiting for the blue to flash then clear time.  The new gun sprays out harder at lower pressure so fingers crossed I don't run any clear.

Ta Da.   62.gif

So everything went well.  The new gun has three different tips, I was using the standard 1.3mm, I think I may try the 1.2 next time around.  Really blast out the material.  Tomorrow I will begin to color sand and buff so its ready to reassemble.

Davisio

Ah man!

that's friggin amazing!

Yeah I'm happy with it.  Excited to put all the new stuff on the inside.  Need to get some more compound tomorrow and get this thing buffed up.

A lovely day of color sanding and begun buffing.  She's gona be slick.  Probably would have gotten most of the buffing done but job number one required I take a very extensive test this morning.  Off to work in the morning and will be back the 23rd to continue on this and Dean's pitbull disaster.

Davisio

the 23rd!? Ack! You're killing me!  11.gif

Yeah I work a trip, then ground school in philly, work a trip, then two days of simulator hell in Charlotte, then work a trip.  Basically an all around fun time.

Well thank you kind sirs!  The new gun definitely sprays nicely, need to fine tune the tips so I'm not wasting paint that's 220 a quart.

Looks awesome. Glad you're all prepped and ready to really put all of those finely honed skills to use on Tink.

Haha. Well judging by the freaking awesome job on this one, and the amazing job I'm sure you'll do on mine, the pickup is going to be a real gem.

wevebeenhad

if you ever get to your truck *cough* *cough* 20.gif

Speaking of trucks there is one for sale on MM for pretty cheap (truck wise) people should get on that. My high paying oil job isnt high paying enough yet or i would be all over it, im sure much to the dismay of my wife.

The blue one on Mini Mania for $7500 will need considerable work.

In a couple of weeks, the Red/white one I recently acquired will be on the market.  I'm getting out of Minis for a while.

94touring

Bummer sorry to hear.  Send me info on the truck, I may have a buyer.

MPlayle

Dan,

Email sent.

Cheers,

Almost back home, keep getting bumped off jump seats.  Tomorrow I finish the buffing to start the reassembly.  Dean brings his car over too.  Busy busy.
