The inventor of the Valentine One radar detector has passed away, I started using his product a very long time and ago and have accumulated 4 of his radar detectors over the years, I have 2 original models and 2 of the the second version.

This mans invention has saving my many thousands of dollars over the years in speeding tickets. Really good Car and Driver article about him, I saw and thought I would share.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride! -Hunter S. Thompson

I saw this the other day, the man was quite the inventor......while I never owned one of his products, we sure sold a bunch of them at the Porsche dealership I worked at.
