Having been a huge part of my life, Clarkson/Hammond/May's Top Gear / Grand Tour are coming to an end next week with the release of the final installment of Grand Tour on Amazon Prime.

I discovered Samsung TV has a Top Gear Channel airing all the episodes going back to the beginning. I cannot tell you how many times I put that on when my insomnia is kicking in, it is my happy place.

This is going to be a tough one to watch.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride! -Hunter S. Thompson

I agree.......somewhat. They still have the chemistry between the boys, but they def have reached a BTDT sort of phase.....still, I'll watch them too.

None of them are going away, they all have projects that will keep them in front of us - Clarkson with his farm, Hamster with his restoration shop and May with various projects including his "our Man in" series - which if you have seen yet, it's a must watch!
Complete failure at retirement - but getting better!

I finally had time to watch the last episode of the Grand Tour / Top Gear trying to block out the hurricane BS late at night, it really tore me up. I noticed every single song in the soundtrack was by a British group. One song stood out, Love will tear us apart by Joy Division, if you pay attention James May is wearing a Joy Division t-shirt right after the song is used.

I have watched it 2X so far, I will admit, I have been watching it to fight restlessness in the middle of the night, the first night there were 80+ MPH winds making my house creek and moan while I desperately trying to tune it out.

The other night was last night when my generator and my AC were having a battle, I could hear them fighting, I was trying to tune them out by re-watching the Grand Tours final episode.

The cars were cool, them coming upon their staged original cars from 17 years ago.. total tear jerker. Flashback pictures of them now and 17 years ago made me feel old.

These cats are a huge part of my life in the last 20 years being a total petrol head. They fueled my fire. So much sadness witnessing the end of an era. (stupid auto correct)

My nerd niece and my older son both discovered free Top Gear TV on Samsung TV stream. We were talking last night about the episodes after Clarkson was fired, when they hired on Matt La Banc and that annoying Ginger. I saw an episode where the ginger was on the OG Top Gear and he was annoying then. I am positive TG picked that annoying Ginger as an FU to Clarkson and I will fight you if you disagree. Name the place and time.

I digress... the last episode is very long and very good, I enjoyed it greatly and my work induced insomnia will allow me to half watch it at least 5 more times.

I will greatly miss those 3 together, they were a once in a lifetime match that worked so well.
