Driving my 05 S down a dirt road tonight and in the road was a washed out area.  Drove into it...well more like flew into it.  Dented in one area of the black plastic bottom piece along the bumper.  Looks like I can take it off and pop it back out though.  Still sucks.  Was kinda suprised the airbag didn't go off I hit so hard.

Apparently it takes a whack directly to the bumper to trigger the air-bags.  When my 2002 MCS got hit (& totaled), the air-bags did not deploy.  Being that I slid into the back of a GMC Sierra pickup, the bottom of his bumper was about 3 inches above the top of mine and went into the top grill/bonnet and left headlight.  $5300 damage estimate and the air-bags had not deployed, but the ABS faulted and would not reset.
