building some diy style horns to amp up the sound coming out of a iphone and we plan to db test each horn as well
its for a school project for one of my kids

since i have a bunch of pro audio lens laying around, i figured we can try out some of those as well,
this is the first adapter we made,
the rear box is made out of 3/4 mdf, and the front horn lens is a 2 inch JBL
so far this combo has made my iphone louder across the range of sound, i haven't db tested it yet

I built a 2nd horn pod today
when I got the horn a few years ago, I was told its a fiberglass altec horn lens but I dont know and ive never looked up to see or not, it doesn't have any markings on it, the 2nd horn I got at the same time was alittle bit different in shape but it came with a altec tweeter driver on it

I used a alittle bit bigger horn len and its a hair deeper
so I made the phone box a hair better then the last one

the bigger one seems to have better sq, but I dont think its as loud as the smaller one,
plus the smaller seems like it has a bump in the mid range frequency over the bigger one, so maybe thats why it seems louder to the ear

tomorrow im going to build another horn set up and im going to make the box smaller then the 1st one
