Hi All! It's been a while since I've posted here and the last time it was about my SC ECU problems. So, it seems that the story will just never end...

Some background in case you've forgotten me...
I have a '72 Morris with a 1310cc K1100 twin cam conversion that has lots of the SC bits and one of their first generation Typhoon ECUs coupled with the original bike throttle bodies.

Last weekend I was driving for an extended period of time on a club run. The car was running fine, but overly rich at anything but an idle. I cracked open the laptop the next day to take a look at the maps and all in the ecu. The software told me it had expired, so I downloaded the latest from SC and went form there. I copied the cal file (maps) from the ecu and looked at them offline. They were all the same as when I loaded them a year ago. The difference I did note is that with the latest version software I could input any value in the fueling map and it would remain at the number. In the past the software would round up or down to some value that was close, but only in increments that were acceptable to the system. I believe this was due to limitations of the processor in the ECU, but I could be wrong.

I figured maybe it was something in the maps that I couldn't see. I attempted to load the last good .cal file (maps) into the ECU and it wouldn't finish the install. There is a process similar to loading a BIOS file and the last bit goes;
Turn off the ignition and press OK when the ECU powers down.
A timer window pops up to show progress on preparing to install and closes when complete
A timer window pops up to show progress on the install
A window pops up to tell you to turn on the ignition

Then nothing happens. The last two windows just remain there.

I've checked CAN dongle speeds and tried to load a new firmware file that I got from SC when I contacted them.
I've used a D400 ECU from a friend and a dongle from another.
I verified that there is continuous power and switched power at the loom connector to the ECU

I can open my old ECU and look at the corrupted MAPS. The sensors all look like they produce data as the gauges and scope seem to be getting info. I haven't tried to make any changes directly to the ECU rather than load a new cal file, but I'll go do that today.

Any ideas?

That's going to be tricky to solve since I'm not sure anyone here runs that ecu.  I have a programmable ecu on a rotary engine, but nothing you describe rings a bell. Have you given SC a call to see what they say?

I was on the phone with them and got the BIN file to do the firmware fix. It was a bit late to be calling them after that, so I'll be calling again on Monday.
