I just got an email from Hagerty saying they are joining the online auction game.  So, along with Cars and Bids, it's going to be another competitor to BaT.   November is the first month they will host auctions.

A somewhat rare 997 Cooper is on BaT.   These weren't produced that long before being replaced by the 998 Cooper.

Sold for $32K.  Pretty good price for a 997 Cooper that isn't completely original.

A very original, one family owned, English Moke is now on BaT.   It will fetch big bucks for sure.

Wagons don't seem to bring the dollars like other variants...

Holy moke, a new level of silly money.

BruceK

You can just imagine the conversation back in 1966 the day the Moke was purchased:

"I know we only spent $1200, but if we keep this Moke in the family for the next 60 years or so it'll be worth $60,000."

"Why that's as much as 12 brand new Cadillacs!!"

I was shocked when the first green Moke went over $40K, but this is just ridiculous......it has Clancy thinking his is worth $40K now.... ::)

I am sure some of you remember the Moke 'Quicksilver" bought from Don Racine at one of his open house events. I think it was for $250, people were shocked when it later sold for $20K at some point down the line. It was barely a roller...

30 minutes in a Mini is more therapeutic than 3 sessions at the shrink.

I guess that Moke's sale at $60k shows originality beats clean and spiffy. Think if it would have been in top concours condition - how much would it bring then?

I wondered if the market for classic Minis had waned a bit, especially for the later model/Japanese spec cars - but the last two results on BaT seem to suggest they're still really strong.

This one went for $26,500.....1995 with LHD and very clean

This 1997 RHD red one brought $20,500

The prices on BaT seem to be all over the place, whilst those went well.  Others last year seemed to sell for less than I would have thought.

MiniDave

Yeah, I'm surprised how much both of these brought as late model cars weren't doing nearly as well as MK1s......
