How do *YOU* install heavy wheels?

"Heavy" depends on your age, how strong you & your back are, your health, etc. I am starting to get there on all 3 counts...

I made this today to install & remove wheels on 3 or 4 cars here every 6 months (fall & spring) as we do the winter/summer wheels & tires in NB, Canada.

Haven't tested it - I'll know in about a month if it works!

p.s.- no idea why the 2 pix uploaded sideways. Look ok on my computer - sorry

Forum glitch. Clicking on sideways pics immediately puts them in the right orientation.

As far as wheels go, my tundra wheels are fairly big and heavy. I use my man strength to take them on and off.  :cheer:

OK on the pix. Tried - worked. Now I know.

I used to have the "man strength" as well Dan.  It's been a hard year for me in/out of the hospital several times this year (not looking for any sympathy, mind) so this "invention" (not my idea) I stole should help
with the heavier wheels/tires alignment, such as the Subaru Crosstrek we now own.

The BINIs wheels aren't overly heavy, even when you're bent over but the F'n conical rim holes onto the hubs are brutal to get the wheel aligned and stuck on there well enough to get a couple bolts started.  I need 3 or 4 hands. What a cr@p design. LOL

I bet this'll help.  At least I hope so !

What you created looks similar to what I've seen the mechanics use to change out plane wheels.
