Put a state license plate on my mini that marks the 250 year anniversary of the Revolutionary War. Just does not seem right... :great:

May not seem right but sure sounds like a very American thing to do lol.

I guess as long as they're not celebrating the civil war.....

But I see what you're saying here....

I am not an American, nor very political at all one way or another, but even if I were, I probably wouldn't do it.

My classic mini's plate is "MINIAC" (aka mini maniac, as it were)

What reason(s) would you have to do it, if you did?  If it's to stir up the grits, is that warranted?>
(I have very little knowledge on the various USA-centric wars)

30 minutes in a Mini is more therapeutic than 3 sessions at the shrink.

Just to catch you up, the war of independence was between the US and Britian - when we broke away from the crown, so a British car advertising winning a war against Britian would be.......interesting!

What I made reference to was our civil war - also know by southerners as the war of northern aggression. It was basically about slavery, the southern states wanted it to continue and the northern states thought it was abhorrent and should be abolished - still do. and there are a lot of southerners who think is should still be a thing, tho very few openly admit it. But there are plenty who feel "the south shall rise again" and things will be as they were, as epitomized by the flying of the confederate flag. Georgia in in the heart of the southern states.

Probably had nothing to do with WillyB's comment or post.....so, never mind!     :victory:

Dave with all due respect that's the dumbest shit I've heard in awhile. I lived in the deep ole south for 13-14 years and I can 100% confidently said 99.9% of southerners do not want slavery back or could give 2 fucks about it.  And if you knew history honest Abe wasn't concerned about removing slavery at first, he wanted the Union to stay joined. It wasn't until they were losing the war he changed his tune to get black troops involved in battling the south, which dramatically changed the outcome. If you dig deeper post civil war the northern blacks didn't like the southern blacks due to cultural differences. Same went for the whites.  Southern skillset and talent was abysmal and they couldn't survive without intervention from the north to then help them move along post slavery.

The southern flag is about heritage, not wanting slavery back.
