Last post by ADRay - Today at 10:13:24 AMI have my carb apart, and have the opportunity to have it machine cleaned, but I'm curious about this little plastic-looking plug on the bottom of this piece. Rebuild kit didn't come with a new one, and it doesn't look like it will come out without damage.
Does this stay in place? Thanks

Last post by MiniDave - May 20, 2024, 08:11:12 AMWell, it's the end of May and we're in standard spring weather now - warm, sometimes muggy days, and lots of T-storms at night. One came roaring thru last night and we lost power for about 3 hours. It came back on about 1:30am, and I knew because the bedroom lights went on - along with the street lights - woke me right up!
We'll be getting them almost everyday now for the next month or so, by then it will be full on summer - hot and humid. So glad I put the A/C in the shop.....could be worse tho - I could be in Phoenix like my son
One other function of spring - I have to mow the grass about every 4 days!

They also have regular terminals for the battery.

I have yet to install mine. I bought one of these off eBay to secure it in the battery well though.

I put several needles I've tried into new chart and the way my current needle behaves checks out on the chart as it's a BDK which is lean down low & likely explains the light throttle hesitation/stumble I have.
I too need to get my O2 sensor installed. But I've been saying that for several years now!

Last post by MiniDave - May 19, 2024, 12:42:10 PMWell, when Max headed off into the distance in the early going I thought this was just going to be another Red Bull romp, but it got real exciting in the last 10 laps or so as Norris chased him down - one or two more laps would have done it I think.....and so did Max!
At any rate, while McLaren has shown the ability to fight for wins, the rest are pretty much falling into line. A few bright spots tho as Tsunoda is showing real improvement this year, and really getting after it. I would like to see him at Aston instead of Stroll, but to his credit Lance finished 9th, one ahead of Yuki.
Everyone but Sauber, Aston, Alpine and Williams are having a pretty good year so far.
There is a strong contingent that think Ollie should be at HAAS next season instead of KMag. And there don't seem to be a line at the door looking for either Zhou or Bottas' services.....
The silly season will really get going after the summer break I'll bet. Still interested to see how the Hamster will fare against LeClerc.
The wheels would pretty much have to fall off of Max's season for him to not win the driver's championship this year, but who knows? Right now LeClerc is in 2nd, although he's almost 50 pts back of Max.

Also, I was able to determine the side marker light wire - however, my car doesn't have side markers. My Subaru has several "never used" harnesses so maybe the side marker light wire is unused for my application, but it also looks like it was plugged into something at some point.
This has been the most mysterious part of the rebuild 😬
