Well at least it only needs resanded and masked.

MiniDave

BTW, if they're in the way the overriders come off with a couple of phillips screws.....easy peasy and out of the way then

They're fine actually.  Just masked around them.

Currently in Chicago trying to get home.  I ended up getting extended into my day off to ferry a broken plane to the maintenance hanger in Norfolk.

MiniDave

Ugh......work! It always gets in the way of fun, doesn't it.....

The up side is I get paid nicely to be inconvenienced.  Headed to the paint store with a rear door.

MiniDave

Is the car all taped up still? That's why you don't just drive it?

No, I just don't want dirt and grime getting on it.  I'll have to remask it again.

94touring

You now have your own paint code.

MiniDave

If it matches - great!

Is the formula on the can?

Since I'm such a nice guy I reblended your mismatched wing.  It now matches.

94touring

I'll need to cut the line down by the gas tank to finish blending but it came out really nice.

MiniDave

Now yer talking!

From the pics that looks fantastic!

Let me know when to head south with Rusty......

where are ya located?

94touring

Ah bit of a drive.

One of the great things about color sanding the next day is its 100x less labor intensive.  Wing done in no time.

Not as bad as the 41 hour drive each way Wiilie B did from Georgia to Abbotsford and back.....but a bit of a drive none the less....I have a friend who lives not far from you in Lethbridge - in fact I have a couple of friends there.....

Cool! so I'll be down to only three or four different shades of color around the car!  :-)

Lol exactly.  It's all less noticeable now.

MiniDave

I'm trying to set things up to come down on Tuesday the 12th.

Sounds good.  Put on new retaining clips back here too.  Has a slight line as anticipated but 100x better than the peeling paint with rust holes you had going on.

MiniDave

Looks really good in that pic, what clips?

Right now it looks like we'll be at your shop around lunchtime on Tuesday. We'll all go to lunch then load up Buzz and head back to KC. I'll drop a note to MtyMous to see if he can meet up as I'm bringing his gas tank with me.
