And now for something completely different.......

A man spends the last 11 years building a Ferrari in his basement garage - till it catches fire, so then he spends 2 years building a shop in his back yard to continue the project.

Now, the project itself. He has an 84 Ferrari 308 Quatrovavle  that he's added a supercharger to, but he was having some issues with the ECU, so he pulls it into the shop to work on that and gets distracted - by a 400i V-12 he found in a junkyard. But putting the V-12 in place of the V-8 isn't quite enough, since it says Quattrovalvole he decides to get a set of Testarosa 4 valve heads and use those - except they don't quite line up - anywhere!

So.....

Make everything fit!

Prepare to spend an hour or two reading the thread. At this point he has it running and driving, but he thinks he dropped an exhaust valve seat as it's only hitting on 11 cylinders.

How on earth did he find a v12 just lying in a junk yard? Some luck!

MiniDave

Yeah, none of the junkyards around here seem to have Ferrari V-12's just lying about!   ;D

They keep them behind the counter, so you've got to ask.

Now he's talking about building his own wheels....first by making billet centers and welding them to his barrels, then he decided maybe carbon fiber centers, then casting his own......then he segued all they way over to a discussion of garage door springs!

Fun stuff!
