As expected, all they would do is exchange for a new one, so I paid the extra $45 to have it overnighted, that way as long as it's not raining I'll get it installed tomorrow and she'll have a couple of days of driving to get her confidence back that it won't leave her stranded somewhere before I leave town on Thursday.....

$45 for overnight shipment is way cheaper than a rental for the weekend.

And we're back on the road again....takes about 2 hours and the hardest thing about it is getting the wheel back on - the disc is not pinned to the hub in any way and it always rotates, so then you have to line it up, lift the heavy wheel in place and stab one of those damn German bolts into the hole and get it to start threading in.......major PITA.

When I got the old one off it had a distinct clunk in it when I turned it over....no idea what that was but I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to do that.... ::)

So I've replaced the right front in 2017, 18 and now 19.
