New Project - Electrifying News

So, found this photo and it has inspired me to start a new project to move my Mini into the future.  I'm going to pull the gas engine out of my car today. 

Starting to source a few parts needed:  1) an electric motor from a forklift and 2), two used Prius battery packs to be mounted in the rear seat area.  I will transform my car into a daily driver with a range of 250-400 miles!

Although the picture is of someone's legitimate project to electrify their Mini.  Quite a few years back, there was discussion of whether he was going to make it into a kit for others as well.

I never heard if the first effort ever was completed.
