Gyraline Alignment Tool

Saw this ad pop up in one of my accounts. It uses the sensors in a smartphone and a 3D printed bracket to take measurements; allegedly accurate and repeatable results.

Any thoughts?

I saw those a couple years ago. At the time I don't believe they worked with android.

Pretty sure the android option is a pretty recent addition. Have always been curious how well they actually work.

The guys on GRM tried this with mixed results, it looked like a great way to check alignment at the track but like I said - mixed results. $190 bux is about what a 4 wheel alignment costs these days too......so in theory it should pay for itself.

Yeah alignments are crazy expensive these days it seems, which is why it has always piqued my curiosity. Of course I have never had an iPhone so until recently its never really been a real option anyway.

I still just use my toe plates and camber tool. Which works great.

There are YouTube videos showing people using this tool. Most of the ones I've seen are generally positive.

Yeah, it's expensive, but on the other hand, some Mini owners have found it to be quite a hassle trying to find a local alignment shop that either has equipment that can fit 10 or 12 inch wheels and/or is willing to put in the work to get a Mini set up right.
