Title: Jap spec Mini - Removing A/C
Post by: LilDrunkenSmurf on March 23, 2016, 07:11:32 AM
It seems I get more traction outside my build thread.

Looking to delete the a/c in my mini. I have 90% of the system out, with only minor setbacks (nothing like shearing part of the condenser).

The only thing left in the car is the compressor, which has a double pulley and turns the car into a 2 belt system. Crank pulley turns water pump + a/c, A/c turns alternator. I bought a new bracket for the bottom of the alternator.

However, it doesn't look like the pulley is going to line up with the crank pulley. Is there another pulley or something I should've grabbed to push the alternator pulley out further? Am I missing something simple?
