Title: Jump Start Battery Pack
Post by: tmsmini on April 06, 2019, 10:30:29 AM
I need a new battery pack for our trip. The one I have used came from Costco and has worked fine for a number of years.
There are hundreds out there. I would like something with USB and 12V lighter output and charging from 12 V lighter  as well. The old one has an air compressor which I have never used, but other people at car shows have.
Any recommendations?

We bought one of those lithium jump paks, the only recommendation I have is to get one with the most amps possible, more is better in this case and too much is just about right!

Yes i have one of the lithium ones i believe they were around $40 a few years back, it has a USB port and a flashlight on it and is great for a trip takes up no space at all.

Mine has the USB ports so you can recharge your cell phone too, that's why more amps is better....you can use it for more things. Be sure to use it now and again, and charge it thoroughly - it won't do you much good if it's dead in the glovebox when you need it.

I've used mine to start my mower when it's sat all winter, and to start my small diesel tractor too.

I have the microstart xp 10. I have used it to start anything from a bike to my duramax. It has 2 usb ports, can be charge using 12v or 110v, has laptop charging adapters and a built in flash light. I used it when I was riding across country on my bike to keep my electronics charged as I was camping and only hit up a hotel every 5th night.
