I've thought about this too. Being from Michigan and living in Michigan I've thought about a faded outline of the state of Michifan on my roof.

How good at color visualizing are you?
You've kind of indicated a body color that sounds like a shade of "Candy Apple Green" with a white roof. (There was a classic Mini on ebay recently in that color scheme.)
I don't think you would want a graphic heavy in clashing colors.
The zipper revealing a darker color might be interesting. The barcode would work well. Something that has a dominant white background would work best.
For the WWII nose art style, going to a more "Olive Drab" sort of green would work well for such a theme.
Read that wrong, thought you meant green over white on the roof..
Somewhere on my computer I have (or had for many, many years) a picture of a flat-grey mini with a paisley design.
I can't find it, but had also at one time considered doing a burnt candy orange paisley roof, similar to this green Mopar, but with bigger 'paislies' (?) - if done in candy apple green with the darker design, highlighting in orange or yellow, I think it'd be wild.
I'm sure a decal shop could whip something up - or perhaps a vinyl wrap.

I also had been looking for roof decals and then kind of lost interest in it. Then I remembered: My sister has access to large format Vinyl Printers. Since my Mini is Purple I though bold and over the top was appropriate at the moment.
So this picture here is pretty much what will hopefully be on my car for Mini Meet West.
That will make it easy to spot! 77.gif

Because having most likely the ONLY Purple Mini wouldn't make it easy at all! I'm really excited for MMW and getting to see all the Mini's in the wild.
I'm committed to going to MMW this summer, and I've talked a friend from Dallas into going too, we've already registered and made hotel arrangements......
I have a friend in Fla who says he and the bride are coming (Fla to SD in a classic? in summer? no A/C? good grief!) and Dooder from here says he's planning to go, Dan's looking at schedules and such - should be a good group from this forum! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there too!
