Title: Making the right sized license plate brackets
Post by: Richard1 on January 28, 2015, 06:15:57 PM
Since we have US style license plates, I wanted brackets to fit them and not just stick a tall plate on a skinny bracket.

Bought a foot of 0.8 mm stainless off the roll in the store (probably about 3 to 4 feet wide, so I only used half)

Had a guy cut and bend (charged $6)

took the pieces home and rounded the corners, sanded the edges, polished the faces and edges, and added a LED light to the rear bracket.

I'll have about 1/4 inch showing all around, except the bottom of the front plate.
