Title: Masking Question
Post by: Mudhen on April 04, 2013, 03:17:43 AM
Was looking through pics of Rachel Nelson's race Mini (one of my all time favorite cars)...why did they mask the outside of the entire car off before painting the interior?

The outside and inside are all the same color...and if the order of pics is correct, the outside was still just primer.  So why take all the time to mask if off??

(or - is it because they already finished the prep work for the paint and they didn't want overspray?  if so, I think I'll paint my interior before touching the outside...looks like a wicked PITA)

Thanks
