Title: Gripmax Tires
Post by: Red Riley on December 09, 2025, 06:33:32 AM
Has anyone tried these? I'm looking at options to replace my 11 year old Nankangs.

I saw those recently looking up 13 options since Dave was in the market. I just can't tell what the actual ratings are in the searching I did.  Are they car tires or golf cart!?

The quick research I just did indicates they are a car tire with 130mph speed rating - more than enough for our Minis.  They seem to have an okay reputation, perhaps a bit of rapid tire wear if driving "spiritedly" but fine for regular daily driving.

It says all season passenger tire.....

I'm reluctant to go with something other than the Yoko A 539's as I've had such good luck with them. They've held up really well (I think I have about 30K on them and there's still a lot of tread left) and I've been happy with the handling.

But those are 1/2 the cost and if they're here in the states already, no additional tariff to deal with.

And you can get them with white raised letter sidewalls!!!!!

I wonder how quiet they are?

Chinese made.
