Title: Gearbox Bias

Has anyone ever used on of these on their rod change before? Reading the instructions seems to place this on the selector rod to spring load it to neutral between 3rd and 4th gears.

I haven't but a friend did and it was miserable - the idea is that it holds the shifter in the 3-4 position, you go against the spring for 1-2 and reverse.

I don't understand the need for it myself.....it came loose constantly and then it was almost impossible to get into gear. Oh, and it rattled like crazy. Maybe it's a good idea for those running short shifters and on race cars?
