Post by: 1071S on July 04, 2025, 10:12:40 PM
Does anyone have .... or know where they could be found .... the clutch setup articles prepared by Marcel Chichak (sp??) many years ago and originally posted on the Minimania site?

Cheers, Ian

Hey Ian, do you in fact have a 1071 Cooper S?

My first Mini was a 63 Cooper S with the 1071, sweet little motor!

Sorry Dave, just noticed your question.  The answer is yes.... bought it a bit over 40 years ago and still with all its original panels, trim, engine gearbox, subframes, suspension.

Daughter is suggesting it might be time to consider downsizing and so now having rash thoughts that it may be time for it to get a new home.

Should I take this opportunity to mention that if anyone is interested.....

Cheers, Ian

Wow, an original 1071 Cooper S is a rare beast indeed, maybe put up some pics? We'd love to see it!
