Minus about two months worth of data since the last backup files. What happened was Godaddy recently migrated us to a new server, well 2 months ago on July 6th. The move went well and everything worked as it should until Godaddy deleted those old servers or whatever they do on their end, which caused some IP address errors on our end. Thinking I had been taken over by the Russian Viagra kingpin once and for all, I got ahold of a guy who does web work. I also went to Cancun and have had about 100 other things going on so this was pretty much last on the priority list, so this took a few days for me to set a time up with this guy to look over things. Once we discovered the IP stuff was wrong and we got that talking to each other I could get back into the forum, but the themes were messed up and images were gone. Confusing. Tried a reinstall of the forum, however Godaddy's new platform uses Cpanel which was different than their old setup. What that means is it did this really cool thing where when I tried to reinstall the forum it completely wiped all the forum data and files. Like nothing at all left in the database to even run my backup files against. Just a blank slate with me as the only member. Had to get on the phone with Godaddy and fork out some Pesos to have them run a super ninja data recovery. Once in there were some paths and strings to reconfigure to the new Godaddy server settings which fixed the themes and lack of images. I think it's all going to work properly now, but if you see anything or get errors please let me know.

You're welcome 77.gif The one perk to the new Cpanel is it will automatically do daily, weekly, and monthly backups. Whereas before I had to remind myself to do them manually, hence two months of lost data. Everyone should be getting newsletters this morning letting them know we're back online. Now to do that SSL certificate which is an option through the Cpanel.
Got my notification this am, thanks Dan for all your hard work.

I was up at 5am doing the final touches!
Thanks for all your work (and Pesos) keeping the forum up and running.
Wow sounds like a major hassle, I figured it was something fairly substantial when it was down for so long. Used to do some website design and had a few places I used to maintain sites for. It was usually a real hassle when places started messing with servers. Especially when they were "upgrading" things and your sites were older, you never really knew what was going to happen until it happened.
Glad you got it up and going again, I have to admit I missed the place! 77.gif
Definitely going thru withdrawals! 9.gif
Thanks again!
Where can we send pesos to help cover the data recovery?

Looks like it works
WooHoo. Back to business. Thanks Dan.
Yup, the funky donation functionality is functional.
Yeppers.... 77.gif
Thanks for all the donations that are rolling in!
Thank you Dan!
Again thanks for the donations. Just purchased an upgraded web security package for the website. Apparently the basic plan I had did nothing except let me get spammed and then tell me about it. Currently have it running a cleanup to rid of us malware and viagra ads on google. Firewall protection is also up and running.
Extra security is never a bad thing in today's internet age.
Ok you may have to clear you cache or update your bookmarks for it to redirect properly but http://www.restorationmini.com/forum/ is now in place so we no longer have that "not secure" message in the browser.
I just changed my bookmark to the "S" version.....and *bonus*, now it logs me in automatically again!
Haha, yes we upgraded to an S.
I've got the spam registrations down to a slow trickle. In fact for awhile I was getting 20 a day signing up I'd have to reject. Today I've had 0 sign up. Only 2 made it through the past few days. Now if google would clean up the google search on us from penis pills to minis.

That is great news. Definitely worth a donation.
And thank you!
Well haven't had any spam registrants in forever and all the daily guest whom were spammers have also disappeared.
