Title: Local Mini Dealer Car Show
Post by: MiniDave on March 05, 2020, 02:58:22 PM
I don't know if it's the bug going around or what but our local BMW/MiINI dealer is not participating in our big yearly car show downtown, so they decided to have their own show at the dealership. I organized a few of my friends to bring our Minis down and we'll be putting them in the showroom later today. More pics this afternoon.....

Cars are loaded into the BMW store, the GM says he has it advertised all over KC so he expects a good turnout.

It's an interesting design dealership, reminds me of the BMW Museum...

In the first pic that's Deighton's 73 that I did a ton of work on. He had the flag done recently, at first I thought I liked the design - going all the way down to the edge of the roof vs, the ones that stop short, now I'm not so sure. I def am not a fan of the chrome arches.

My car is parked in front of his - they have a guy wiping fingerprints off all day which is nice.

The convertible and Isetta belong to the same guy, he also has a Z8 on display......such a gorgeous car!

Last pic is the Red Vtec Pup....as long as no one opens the bonnet, they'll be none the wiser. When it comes to these old cars no one there really has a clue about them.

It was the same with my E-Type at the Jag dealer. Clueless. Never seen or even heard of one.....

They had a gorgeous Z8 there, looking down at it from up on the balcony I swear the seats were the same as an R53 MINI. They also have a V10 M5, man did it sound bad to the bone! There were a couple of the new $150K M8 coupes too - those things are huge!

O dang it is, from the angle I swore it was just another car.

Cool deal!

I just found out our MINI dealer is doing $20 oil and filter changes on Sat! Sign me up......I can't even buy the oil for that price, let alone the filter too!

They said they have about 30 of them scheduled so far....   77.gif 77.gif 77.gif

Was that the real short vid walking up along the cars? I got that one on FB this morning. I think I have IG, do I have to be "OK'd" by justminicoopers to see the vid?
