Title: Is Minimania now unsafe?
Post by: John Gervais on June 10, 2018, 08:50:53 PM
Hey -

I wanted to check something but got a 'risk' alert -

Has anyone else seen this?

Interesting...

Glad I generally have no need for them.

I really couldn't tell you - I posted a quick response to some (possibly sarcastic) whining from our neighbors in Canadastan regarding possible tariffs on steel and aluminium and why it was a valid security concern (apparently, the U.S.A. has only one aluminum factory which manufactures aircraft-grade mil-spec aluminum), so it's wise that the U.S. should secure it's defense industry supply chain, and that there's nothing wrong with being patriotic or knowing which bathroom to use...  MAGA!

I got a nice 'welcome back' from Dan - but I'm probably not popular...

Well we've only been getting ripped off by the entire world.

I got the same warning message.  Reading it carefully, it is their authentication certificate expired and they have not updated their site to reference a renewed certificate.

Kind of like letting your driver's license expire and getting a warning ticket to renew it.

At least they renewed their web certificate.

Once they finally started a semi-serious discussion of adding a moderator most of the nasty BS and trolling dropped out.  Unfortunately, the damage had already been done and many folks had left.
