I guess that is one way to get a "shorty" pickup with roll-up windows: modify a Saloon.

Usually it is an Estate that gets chosen for modification into a pickup.

Yes.  I've seen some of those estate conversions and they just look wrong when you look at the details.  At least this one is not pretending to be a pickup - it's its own thing.
