Title: sided door striker plates
Post by: stan360 on November 17, 2016, 05:34:05 PM
I was looking at some shabby rubber bits on the striker plates and realized that I cannot find replacements....they only make universal oval plates now with no rubber bumper.  Should I just convert to the oval , or mess with the bumber and fashion a suitable replacement bit.  Was this design deemed useless ?

My guess:  Either deemed useless, or... they found a way to save a little bit of money.

Unless you're going for a concours look, use them anyway?

Unless they're worn and won't work properly......

One of the bumpers are worn,,,,I will try to find a similar rubber strip replacement at the auto parts store .
