This is a simple fun game, post up a famous line from a movie and we'll try and guess what movie it was in.....
I'll start with an easy one.....
"You're gonna need a bigger boat"
The only rule......no Googling for answers!
Jaws.
Another easy one, "Do you want to tie me up with some of your ties Ty?"
Caddyshack
Ok, a little harder one..
"Will you go to lunch?"
Caddyshack 4.gif
Another easy one I'm having a hard time picking a line their all so good.
OK we'll go with "Jonny what do you make of this?"
Jeff
(edit) posted at same time as Dave.
Another of my favorites - Airplane!
Still waiting on the answer for mine before I post another one......
Remember, no Googling!

Caddyshack

"Will you go to lunch?"
That is a tough one. I had to google it so I am now disqualified. I had not seen that movie in ages.
Great movie though.
A fascinating movie and brutal to watch at times, especially to anyone who's ever made their living in sales - if everyone gives up I'll give the answer and we'll try another one.
For some reason that line just stuck with me....
Kevin Spacey is saying it to Alan Arkin.
Stumped
I had to google it, so disqualified as well.
The movie was GlenGarry Glen Ross, and if you haven't seen it you should add it to your Netflix que or whatever way you watch old movies. It is some powerful stuff - it a Mamet play so expect a lot of talking and not much actual action, but still tremendous...name brand cast too - Pacino, Alec Baldwin, Kevin Spacey, Alan Arkin, Jack Lemon, Ed Harris, and Jonathan Price to name a few.
Here's an easy one then
"Porsche, there is no substitute"
That was much easier, Risky Business.
Here is one that is timely. I will give 1 Internets bonus to anyone who knows why this is timely.
"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."
Ferris Bueller's Day Off!
(no bonus point though)
I was going to use "A man with priorities so far out of whack doesn't deserve such a fine automobile"
"Have you ever seen a grown man wearing so much blue?"
Looks like we're shy one horse.
No takers yet I see.
The line is from a Sergio Leone western.
A bit more.
"Looks like we're shy one horse....Looks like you brought two too many"
A Fist Full of Dollars?
Close,
It's from the opening scene of. Once upon a time in the west
Some of the best directing an amazing start to a movie I think.

On another note my favorite line from A Fist Full of Dollars is. "Get three coffins ready"
How about this one,
"I've got my own stuff to do."
Or this one:
"You mean, you'll put down your rock and I'll put down my sword, and we'll try and kill each other like civilized people?"
John's clue is an easy one from one of my favorite movies - The Princess Bride.
I don't know Bart's quote......
A clue for Bart's It has to do with the band Sex Pistols I know it but waiting to see if anyone else gets it.
It made me think of this quote from another movie based on a band. "Let's do the bastard's motor"
So two quotes to solve based on English rock/punkrock band movies.
I guessed & checked and had Quadrophenia right... kicking myself over the other.
Well, Sex Pistols means the movie has to be "Sid and Nancy"
Both correct.
Your go ADRay
"you ever seen a grown man wear so much blue?"
From one of my all time favorite movies...
"He vould have an enormous schwanzstucker."
ADRay, is your quote from that movie with John Ritter and that ugly pain in the ass kid? I can't remember the name of it.......
"Young Frankenstein"
Your go, Mike!
"It must be Thursday. I never could get the hang of Thursdays."
Was that line in the movie? I remember it from the book but I wasn't too impressed with the movie version.....so I might have missed it.
I'll let someone else play, but I really loved that guys work!
Especially some of the other books he wrote, like the Dirk Gently ones.....
I have a poor memory for movies, so I have to hunt a bit and may have gotten a book quote rather than the movie.

yes
Problem Child! I finally remembered the name of the movie ...I could clearly see it in my mind but I just couldn't pull it out!
Let's try this one....."Louie, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship"
Oh, I know this one......but I'll hang back and let someone else play.
This is one of the strangest movies.......
So, my thread died on my movie quote - there's a reason they call me Mr. Threadkiller!
That line was from the cult classic movie Repo Man - a very strange movie with one hell of a McGuffin in it. Don't know what a McGuffin is - google it! ;D
Someone else wanna give it a go?
For the autonomous car crowd.
"STOP you Micky Mouse piece of SHIT!"

Repo Man was a helluva great movie. And I thought I was Mr. Threadkiller -
Wasn't it "Brake now you mickey mouse piece of shit"?
Possibly, been awhile since I've watched it.
