Title: Inside sill covers (73 Innocenti)
Post by: Flyinace2000 on August 23, 2016, 05:05:45 PM
Restoration is nearly done (has been for months, but thats another story).

Body shop wants to know how to install the interior tread plates.

Here are some photos of the new interior (from Newton Commercials)

Around 14 years ago, I used double faced tape to attach my stainless tread plates and they're still secure.

The parts i bought mount on the inside, assuming covering the part of the carpet that does not have the piping.

The picture in the link to 7Ent seems to show about 4 screw holes per cover.  From what you describe of where they are supposed to mount, I would assume you will need to drill small holes in the inner sill and screw mount them through the side carpet.
