If I am reading this I should just pop the data tag off my block and get one made up for my original engine and pop it on.  Whalla I have the correct engine???  I would be so pissed off if some one did this to me. >:(

I agree...funny that the guy that said to just get one made up is a site admin over there?  He probably has one of those fancy restored Mk1s with fuel injection, 13" rims, and sportspack arches... ::)

How would you like to have paid for a numbers matching car from him then read his opinion about hot it's not a big deal.

Wow some of those guys over there just don't get it. Perhaps I should get the data plate for my engine made up to match the cert and sell it acrostic the pond as a numbers matching car.
