Title: Problem with installing new window channel seals, please help
Post by: jetmechinnc on June 21, 2014, 01:03:22 PM
I'm trying to put my door windows back in with new seals, the felt ones that they ride in, and with the seals installed, I can't seem to move the window.  I'm almost lifting the car up just to pull the window up in place to make it even to put the regulator on.  Have you ever had this problem?  Can you or do you sometimes have to cut down the seal?  Or is if just that they are new?  Either way, I can't seem to get the window free.  You put it in, and it's wedged sitting in the tracks at basically all positions from bottom to top.  I tried to keep it level as possible thinking it's just cocked a bit, but both doors do it.  Seals are new from 7ent.

Scroll down this page to the window runner thread and see if that may help.

I don't think this is the same thing.  I'm trying to install the door upper window glass seal as they call it out on minispares.  It goes around the hole upper part of the door and guides the window.  You have to take out the glass to install/replace it.
