Title: MS manifold question
Post by: BruceK on September 14, 2018, 11:21:20 AM
I'm about to order one of these intake manifolds from MiniSpares, but I am wondering about the vacuum takeoff for the brake servo on my early 1990s OEM manifold for the HIF44.

Has anyone fitted one of these manifolds and been able to use the same hardware as on an OEM intake to power the later-style (brake m/c attached to servo) power brakes?

Okay, I can answer my own question now.  The threaded portion of the MS intake manifold does take the same banjo bolt to feed vacuum to the brake servo as on the stock manifold.  Makes sense, but I didn't want to assume they were the same.  Now I can confirm they are.

Sorry, somehow I missed this question....but as you found out - they are the same. I have a new spare one of these in case someone needs one in the future.....
