Title: Mk3 Windscreen Washer Bits
Post by: CraigD on January 30, 2017, 04:31:38 PM
I'm getting ready to install a windscreen washer system in my '72 Mk3. I am looking for a connector to wire to the pump motor as there wasn't one in the car when I got it and I didn't find any wires in the main loom when I rewired for the twin cam conversion (ECU, horn relay, etc, etc). Does anyone know what that connector should be or was it simply two wires that will look crappy when done like an original set up?

Thanks!

Mine is the standard 2 wires with individual connectors, but you could probably use ½ of a 2-way connector block similar to this.

Oh, so it originally had two separate wires and connectors. Thanks for the info. Now I can just do whatever the heck I want!

Late to the thread, the original pump just had two separate wires going to it. Later cars did have a two connector plug, so if you want that look you'll need one of the later style pumps too as the connectors were angled differently. I would just use a couple of female spade connectors and call it good.
