Pegasus sells these clamps. As I have been removing hoses , I thought I would try them.
Not sold yet, as I had a leak on one hose.
Anyone else tried them?
I like them in theory, but I don't use them. the advantage is not having little bits of rubber squeezing up between the thread holes I guess?
Yes, so the hoses don't get ripped when you take them on and off.
I like the narrower width clamps for most locations on the Mini. May use these on my sons car.
I've been using them for many years, stainless steel and made in the U.S.A.. I'd say that they're a 'must have' if you've got silicone hoses.

I wish I could find some smaller versions
Mine are from this company:

and can be seen here at the bottom of the page (table of part numbers):

I think that if you search for 'Tridon lined stainless steel hose clamps' or 'Ideal-Tridon...' you might find an affordable retailer.
One of the reasons i like to use FI hose clamps on the Minis small 1/4" hoses is they clamp up nicer and stay round, the other type that Dave mentioned go D shape and leave ridges in the hoses.
I use the FI type clamps on fuel lines too - I prefer them.
I also have come to like the spring clamps, since we're running such low fuel pressure they work fine and are easy to use.
I use the lined clamps only on the coolant hoses.
