Title: Gauging interest
Post by: MPlayle on October 05, 2015, 03:54:16 PM
I am currently Mini-less, but by spring that likely will be different.

Anyway, with the recent postings by MiniDave about the regional classic Mini runs I began to wonder how far south some of the folks might consider.  The south Texas "Hill Country" has some nice, "twisty", scenic roads and interesting towns.

I have done "club" drives as a weekend type thing and have various routes as references.  These are in the areas around San Antonio, Bandera, Kerrville, New Braunfels, and Austin.

Would folks on here be interested in driving this far south in late March or early April?

I'm sure some of us would, it's a bit far for us KC guys (800 miles one way to San Antonio) but for our Texas and Oklahoma brothers I think it would be fun!

Part of it would depend on whether I was teaching a class or not - if I were the only time I could come would be over spring break.

I've done drives in Texas before.  Of course easy for me since I'm in the middle of everyone.

Hey Dan,

Where in Texas?  Northern areas or down here in the south?

As far down as Dallas.  I've driven all over it though going back and forth across the country.
