Title: Car Skyline Sketch
Post by: Rosebud on April 12, 2020, 09:29:20 PM
I sent away to the "Car Skyline" company for an 11" x 14" sketch of 'Rosebud' about a week ago. I'd seen their ads for a while on FaceBook and they were on sale for $49.00, so I thought I'd bite and send them my photo. I got an email yesterday that said the print would be arriving today. So an email arrives today with a 400mb jpg attachment. They did a great job of capturing my car; the right color, all the right details including the correct license plate number, tow hook, even the sun-bleached red grill knobs and Seven Enterprises decals on the side windows. The website sez it's supposed to be printed on durable matte archival acid-free paper. I'm wondering if all I get for my $49 bucks is a jpg file. I printed the file on gloss photo stock and it looks great. Maybe the actual print will be arriving by mail. We'll see. I'll let you know if it arrives. link: https://www.thecarskyline.com/products/posters (https://www.thecarskyline.com/products/posters)

reads to me like you should expect an actual print. the jpeg was possibly sent as a digital proof so that you can see it and approve of it (or not) before they print it.

You're right. Someone who purchased one of the prints confirmed that they received a nice hardcopy print in the mail.
