Title: Nisonger Instruments
Post by: MiniDave on October 18, 2021, 08:51:40 AM
I was told this morning that they were devastated by flood waters from the hurricane - 6 feet of water in the shop - and they are closed, probably for good. Nisonger in New York was my go to place for Britcar instrument repair, does anyone have an alternative they've used?

I know Caerbont in England will repair Smith's stuff, but there must still be a place or two still in the US that does them too?

Edit: West Valley Instruments in Reseda, ca - supposed to be run by a former Nisonger employee - 40 years in the bidness according to their webpage.

Thats Devastating!

Their front page also mentions it

Almost reads like they're transitioning to just selling finished products. LESS rebuilds. .

I spoke to Frank Markowitz  (@Mini Obsession )a few weeks ago and he mentioned a rebuilder /repairer in PA that he used.. I just reached out for their info.

I've dealt with Morris Mintz of West Valley out in SoCal on several occasions for a number of years and have great success working with him.
