Sludgo is a friend of mine and a few others here on the forum, and has started writing a series of articles for BaT, I encourage all to read him, he's a good guy and has a unique perspective on life, cars and all that jazz.

I love it when I come upon a sludgo comment - easy to spot because they are long and usually have turned a different color due to the great number of people giving it a 'thumbs up'. Always great reading. I'm pumped he will be a regular contributor.
I can't believe I never put the two together.......he announced on Facebook that he had a new automotive writing gig.
Love reading his comments. Saw that one earlier this week.
Revisiting this thread for a moment....
Something that is becoming more timely for some of us, MM219 dropped and it's about moving the folks out of their home, taking away the car keys and such.
Timely because some of us are enjoying retirement now and some of us are starting to feel the press of time, either on ourselves or our parents.
I'm quickly reaching the point where I really don't want to drive at night even on familiar roads, which makes it a little awkward going out for an evening meal when it starts getting dark at 4:30 in the winter! :steeringwheel:
I also have another chore looming - what to do with a life's accumulation of tools. I'm not done wrenching yet (at least for fun) but the handwriting is def on the wall, I figure 3-5 years more and that will be it. My son already has a shop full of tools- he's actually worse off than me as he has an actual 3 bay shop full of tools, equipment and lifts - but he's also 20 years younger than me, so he has a bit of time yet. Point being he has no use or need for any of my stuff. I've already sent him all of my model specific special tools that I don't need now...like for BMW's, Fiats, Jags and such.
Lots of challenges approaching in the coming years.
For us foreigners, what is MM190?
Re the tools: just will them to your son. He has room for them and probably won't notice the difference. He'll probably need the 10mm wrenches and sockets anyway.
On Bring-A-Trailer (BaT), there is a writer contributing a biweekly story series called "Mile Markers". MM190 refers to story #190. The author goes by the screen-name "Sludgo" on BaT.
I posted a link to MM1 in my first post.....amazing that we're all the way up to 219 now - it's been what, 8 years?
He's also published a book series, available here on his web site..... https://sludgo.com/ (https://sludgo.com/) along with other merch.
I've known him since way way way back in the early days of the WWW, we met on a forum hosted by Autoweek called "Combustion Chamber"
