Occasionally I have a very difficult time shifting gears in my 76 mini 998. I was wondering if I maybe have a clutch issue or do I have a clutch cylinder that is low on fluid or do I have some other adjustment that needs to be made. Please help.

Does it help if you double pump the clutch?  Also could just be that the arm needs adjusted.

Occasionally it helps but not very often. I noticed the fluid was a little low but I'm thinking the arm needs to be adjusted. From looking at my Haynes it doesn't seem that hard. Am I crazy in thinking that?

Start there for sure.  Double pumping to give it the extra push is a good sign.  They sell an adjustable push rod I believe.  Once I just simply stuck a nut on the end that goes in the slave to get the extra length needed.

I adjusted the throw out stop and added fluid seems so much better now
